Toad Suck Daze Car Show – Pics Posted

Well, it’s taken me a bit to get everything in place, but finally the pictures from the Toad Suck Daze Car Show are posted.  The car club had several hurdles this year with the venue change, and these car shows don’t always go off with out a hitch, but I think their move was successful and next years show will be bigger and better!

Enjoy the picutures…  here is a link to the story…  Toad Suck Daze Car Show – May 5, 2012

First Show of the year…

New pictures up of the first car show of the year for StillKruzn.  We headed to Heber Springs, AR today to the SpringFest Car Show.  Was a great day hanging with some friends and enjoying the cars.  Thanks to Spanky’s Hot Rods and Customs for inviting us up for the day.  The hot rod even brought home the Coolest Ride award.  Enjoy the pics… http://stillkruzn.com/car-show-coverage

Ready for a new Cruising Season

I don’t know about all of you, but I am ready for the cruising season this year.  I finally got the hot rod home this past weekend.  It has been in storage due to building a new house and shop.  In fact, both of the cars are home now, my wife as a 2002 Ford Thunderbird.  It was a glorious sight to see the garage filled again with them.

We are going to try and hit as many events as we can this year to give you much to look at.  We are also going to start offering some photo shoots.  So if you would like that big picture of your car or truck for the living room, let us know and we will work out something.  Prices will vary depending on how many locations and/or vehicles we are doing.  Also, where you are located, we mainly work in Central AR.

Anyways, hope to see you out there this year, when you see us, be sure to stop and say hello!

Club Spotlight – Toad Suck Car Club, Conway, AR

Just want to spotlight a car club that has celebrated 25 years.  Toad Suck Car Club in Conway, AR host 2 shows each year and give the proceeds to charities, which include The Museum of Autos on Petit Jean Mountain and a scholarship for a high school graduate that completed the Auto Collision program at Conway Career Center and will be attending University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton, AR.  The student must already be accepted and enrolled in the Auto Collision program.  The scholarship pays for the students “must have” tools and tool box.

Event Spotlight – NSRA Calendar Planning Meeting

If you are planning a car show in 2012, and need to get the word out, you need to be at the NSRA Calendar Planning Meeting.  This years meeting is being held on March 3 and is being held at Antioch Baptist Church, in Conway, AR for the second year.  During the meeting, car show organizers will get the opportunity to talk for a few minutes about their event.  The Arkansas officials for the NSRA will also be taking care of some of their business and the 2011 Arkansas Street Rodder of the Year will be introduced.  The meeting will start approximately 11 am.

If you need more information, contact Kay Stags at 870-664-0196.

Great Car Day

Started out this morning at the car guy breakfast.  It was cold so not many of the guys (including myself) didn’t drive the old rides, but it’s always good to get together with them for some good fellowship.

Then it was off to Little Rock for the Statewide Automotive Event Calendar Planning Meeting.  This sort of kicks off our car show season each year, and is sometimes the first chance we see some old friends each year.  I have a stack of calendars that will be added to the Events Calendar shortly.  If you look through this and don’t see your event, be sure to hit the Contact Page and send me all the information.  I think I have about all the flyers that were handed out, but not everyone brought their flyers.  Also, some of them will have some location changes, so they will be updated as soon as I get that information.

There is one more calendar meeting that is on March 3.  I will be adding those events shortly after that.  This one is the NSRA Planning meeting and the Arkansas Street Rodder of the Year will be introduced from the many nominees.

Spanky’s Hot Rods and Customs – ’58 Nomad

Finally got to do something that we had been looking forward to for several weeks. We have been planning this photo shoot for several weeks and Jan 28th, we finally made it up to Heber Springs and met up with Spanky’s Hot Rods and Customs to shoot this car. A 1958 Chevy Nomad. It’s debut was at 2011 SEMA and it is a gorgeous car.

After meeting up at the shop, we headed out to a couple of different locations for the shoot. The first one was an old glove factory just outside of town and the other, a tire shop that is located in a building a lot of character… Here is a sample of the day… enjoy and be looking for more of this car!

Thanks to Mike at Spanky’s Hot Rods and Customs in Heber Springs for inviting us up to shoot this car. Also to Josh at Full Service Graphix for all of his work… He has alot more pics of this that he is still working on…

SEMA HRIA Pinewood Derby

A friend of ours in Heber Springs, AR has a hot rod shop that we featured sometime back.  He was invited to build a pinewood derby car to be raced in Long Beach, CA this past summer.  The cars are being auctioned off on eBay to raise money for ChildHelp and Victory Junction Camp.  ChildHelp  provides support and educational programs to stop child abuse.  Victory Junction Camp provides a unique camping experience for children with serious and terminal illnesses.

The link below will take you to the car built by Mike Cooper at Spanky’s Hot Rods in Heber Springs, AR.  Great shop, great guy and a great cause to be raising money for.  You can also look at the other cars by going to eBay and searching for “SEMA HRIA”.  Take a look and if you want to join the cause, start bidding!
